Army Agniveer Eligibility Criterias 2023

Eligibility criteria for various posts of Agniveer in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Agniveer General Duty (GD) All Arms: An individual must have at least passed 10th Class with 45% marks and 33% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Technical (All Arms): An individual should have completed 10+2 (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English, and scored a minimum of 50% in total and 40% in each subject. Alternatively, if an individual has passed 10+2 with the same subjects from a recognized education board or has completed a one-year ITI course in a related field with NSQF level 4 or above, they are eligible. Another option is having passed 10th Class with 50% in total and a minimum of 40% in English, Maths, and Science, along with 2 years of technical training from ITI or a two/three-year diploma in specific streams.
  • Agniveer Technical (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner) (All Arms): The same qualifications as Agniveer Technical (All Arms) apply.
  • Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms): An individual needs to have completed 10+2 (12th grade) with a minimum of 60% marks in total and 50% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass): An individual should have passed the 10th Class exam from a recognized board in India with a minimum of 33% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass): An individual should have passed the 8th-grade exam from a recognized board in India with a minimum of 33% in each subject.

Age Limit:

  • An individual should be between 17 years and 6 months to 21 years old.

Agniveer Physical Eligibility 2023

Physical requirements for the post of Agniveer under Indian Army are as follows.

Physical Standards:

Agniveer (GD) and Agniveer (Technical) (All Arms):

  • Height: 170 cm
  • Chest: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion

Agniveer (Clerk/ Store Keeper/ Technical):

  • Height: 162 cm
  • Chest: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion

Tradesman (10th/ 8th Pass):

  • Height: 170 cm
  • Chest: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

1.6 Km Run:

  • Group I (Uptill 5 Min 30 Sec):
    • Marks: 60
    • Pull Ups: 10 for 40 marks, 9 for 33 marks, 8 for 27 marks, 7 for 21 marks
  • Group II ( (5 Min 31 Sec to 5 Min 45 Sec):
    • Marks: 48
    • Pull Ups: 6 for 16 marks

Agniveer Army Salary 2023

The salary structure for the post of Agniveer under Indian Army are as follows.

  • 1st Year: Rs. 30,000 per month
  • 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000 per month
  • 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500 per month
  • 4th Year: Rs. 40,000 per month

Additionally, if an individual who chooses to exit after completing 4 years of service, you will receive Rs. 11.71 Lakh as the Seva Nidhi Package.
