Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) is inviting 10th passed candidates for BLW Apprentice Recruitment 2023. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their online application forms through blw.indianrailways.gov.in/. The last date of online application is 25 November 2023 till 16:45 (IST) while the last date for the document submission is 27 November 2023.

Banaras Locomotive Works has released the recruitment notice for the ITI and non ITI post. 10 Passed candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register online for the available posts. The age range for those who have not completed an ITI is 15 to 22 years old, and for those who have, it is 15 to 24 years old. 

Registration has started from 26 October 2023 and the last date to submit the online application is 25 November 2023 while candidates can submit their documents till 27 November 2023. On its official website, Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) Varanasi has announced the official recruiting notice for the Apprentice Post. On October 26, 2023, the Railway BLW Apprentice Recruitment 2023 online application procedure opened. Opening is for ITI and no ITI both candidates as per the notification there are total 374 vacancies in which 300 are for IT and 74 posts are for non ITI candidates.

Steps to apply online for the Railway BLW Apprentice 2023

  • Visit the official website portal of blw.indianrailways.gov.in.
  • Navigate to the portal and find the BLW Apprentice Notification.
  • Fill out the form with accurate information and submit a scanned copy of all the required documents in JPG/JPEG/BMP format and size should be between 100KB to 200 KB.
  • Submit a recent colored photograph in JPG format and size should be between 20 to 50 kb.
  • Check the information again and submit it on the official portal.

The following lists the minimal educational requirements for blw.indianrailways.gov.in recruitment in 2023; however, individuals with higher education are also able to apply for the Apprentice vacancy, but there is an age requirement.

Non ITI Age Limit: Minimum age should be 15 years while max age requirement is 22 years.

ITI Age Limit: Min age should be 15 years while max age requirement is 24 years (till 26/10/2023) while the maximum age limit for the post of welder, carpenter trader is 22 years (till 26/10/2023). 

Age relaxation will be available as per the govt rules for the reserved category candidates which are given below:

SC/ST: 5 years

OBC: 3 years

PH: 10 years

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must be 10th passed with min 50% marks for ITI and Non ITI posts. For non-ITI candidates, passing a minimum of 50% of the marks in the tenth grade examination or its equivalent is required. The applicant must have fulfilled the requirements before the notification date

To be eligible for ITI, candidates must have passed the relevant trades’ ITI exam and their 10th grade exam, or its equivalent, with at least 50% of the possible points from an accredited board.

BLW Apprentice Application Fee 2023

Eligible candidates who want to apply for the BLW apprenticeship need to pay a nominal fee of Rs 100 for the Unserved Category while the candidates who belong to the SC/ST/Reserved Category and female candidate do not need to pay the fee amount for the application. Candidates can pay the fee amount by using their Credit/Debit/Internet Banking and it is non refundable.

The application window will close on 25 November at 16:45 (ISTso candidates are requested to complete the application procedure and submit the fee before the last date and they can submit their documents till 27 November 2023.

Railway BLW Internship Selection & Stipend 2023

BLW Apprentice period will be according to the National Council of Vocational Training Rules. Selected candidates have to sign a bond and follow the rules and terms strictly during the Apprentice program. Banaras Locomotive Works’ selection process for BLW Apprentice 2023 includes a competitive written exam. Some other posts in blw.indianrailways.gov.in also contain Interview / Physical requirements Stipend amount will be provided as per the Indian Railway Board instructions which will be decided by board itself.
